Referral Disclosure
Last updated: July 31, 2026
PlacerCare Directory (“we,” “us”) is a free, local directory of licensed elder-care facilities in Placer County, California. Many senior-care referral sites are paid by facilities on a move-in, which shapes what they show you. We are not. Here is our disclosure, in plain language.
It is always free to families
We never charge you to use the directory, to submit an inquiry, or to be connected with care. There is no fee, subscription, or charge of any kind to families or the people they are helping.
We do not receive referral fees
We do not receive compensation from any facility, advisor, or partner for a family’s inquiry or move-in. No community pays to be listed, ranked, or recommended, and no part of your inquiry is sold or handed off to a paid referral partner.
Our listings are built from public California and federal licensing records — every licensed facility in Placer County is included, in the same way, regardless of whether they know we exist.
This commitment covers care facilities and home-care agencies listed in our directory. It does not extend to educational content, informational resources, or professional-services listings — our elder-law attorney and financial-advisor directories are paid, flat-fee “Verified Partner” listings, clearly labeled as such. That fee is never commission-based and never tied to whether you hire that professional — the same is true of any Verified Partner listed in a Care Financing Roadmap result.
What our service does
- Maintain a directory of licensed Placer County elder-care facilities, sourced from official state and federal records.
- Take your inquiry (the “Request a tour” and “Request information” forms) and pass it directly to the facility you contacted.
We are a directory, not a care provider — we do not operate any facility, and we are not a referral or placement agency.
